Subject line: what is it - and why is it important?

The subject line is the short message which appears beside an email, after the sender’s name, indicating what the topic of the email is. The subject line is the crux of your campaign’s success. If the subject line isn’t effective, no one will see the content of your email, thus rendering your efforts futile.
